From the February In Style:

pop goes
     the question

"Will you marry me?" Those words make any setting—restaurant, alpine cabin or even closet—seem romantic. Just ask these stars, who recall their big moment

"We went to Big Bear over Thanksgiving in 1991. We were in a cabin and it was snowing outside and Rob [Estes] told me to wait upstairs—he was going to make something for me. Finally he said I could come downstairs, and when I got there I was so touched. He had a fire burning and he'd made a beautiful little aisle of brown paper bags with candles in them, leading from the fireplace out into the snow. He put on a tape of Marc Cohn's 'True Companion,' the first song we ever danced to. And we danced together in the little aisle and he asked me to marry him. I started to cry and said, 'Yes.' Then he recited a poem he had written for me."
