When a humble shoe company from Purchase, NY put out on ad in February, 1997, that showed Jenny McCarthy on the toilet, panties down, legs akimbo, the ensuing attention from pissed-off conservative media outlets and turned-on men proved that paid publicity turns into free publicity when you cause controversy.
�����So Candie's got a bit more blunt in their latest $10 million ad campaign. The commercial features Alyssa Milano wearing one-size-too-tight lingerie, waiting impatiently on her bed for her lover. The star of the WB's Charmed lathers herself in the Candie's fragrance and writhes in bed sheets in restless anticipation as a shirtless man rummages through mountains of condoms tumbling out of his bathroom mirror to find his Candie's for Men scent. (A bit unnecessary at that point, no?) The ad was banned by Milano's own WB, NBC, and ABC, but is being shown on several cable stations. Just in case you haven't paid your cable bill lately, we edited out the shirtless guy and complied the scenes that show the very best of Alyssa.����Justin Myles
