Promoting Awareness, Victim Empowerment

Help pave the way for victims of sexual and gender violence!

Rape and Sexual Assault Protective Measures

There is no real protection against sexual violence because each case is extremely different. However, a woman can reduce the likelihood of becoming a victim by being educated and aware.

It is important to know the definition of rape and sexual assault. Rape is unwanted sexual intercourse; vaginal, oral, or anal. Sexual assault is unwanted touch, fondling, or rape committed against the will of another person. It is a misunderstood subject that is a wide spread problem in our society. It is important to note that a man or woman can either commit the crime or be the victim.
