Great site! I'm sure that somewhere down the line we are related. My grandmother, Sannie Irwin McGonigal(1890-1985), was raised by her great-aunt Amelia Cleary Graham(1842-1919), wife of Daniel Graham(b.1834),on a farm in Goshen Twp. Daniel and Amelia had
3 children; Mansfield, Zada, and Howard. Sannie's mother was Naomi Ruth Cupler Irwin(1871-1939), who was the daughter of Elizabeth Graham Cupler(1833-1884), the sister of Daniel. Their parents were William(1793-1863)and Mary(b.1799) I remember visting the
old homestead with my grandma before it was torn down in the 1960's. At that time the road leading to the farm was quite heavily populated with Grahams and according to my grandma all related in one way or another. The farm was situated at the end of the
oad and next to the river(Sesquahanna). As a young girl, one of her chores was to pole a boat back and forth across the river whenever anyone came to or from Shawsville(much faster than the road) I haven't seen that area in over thirty years but I can clo

My earliest Graham information says that Daniel Graham (ggggrandfather) emigrated from Edinburgh in 1803. This is unverified, since I have not been able to locate the passenger list nor the ship he and his family sailed on.
He married Elizabeth McWilliam in 1812. My father had told me that his dad, and grandparents were from Robeson County NC.
Daniel's father Neill Graham came over in 1805, married Flora Lammon. The McWilliams also came over about that time.
The Graham/Brown link is the marriage of my great grandfather, John Daniel to Elizabeth Graham. My father's mother was a Mathews, and I have some information on that side of the family which I am happy to share.
I think I have verified the Grahams in Robeson Count through the census records for the pertinent years, but am waiting for the transcripts.
Any and all information would be appreciated. My sister and I have just started this process, and we would really like to connect with someone.
