Polly lived to be 90 years of age, she was known by her many friends and
family as "Aunt Polly". The last fifty years of her life was spent at her Hager
Hill residents. She died of an extended illness at her daughter's house, Mrs.
Hulda Fairchild Music of Hager Hill Ky. James was the son of Levi & Jane Horne
Fairchild.

James was always called Jim, he was a retired Farmer and Miner of Barnetts
Creek Ky. He had been a lifelong member of this area. The 1920 census shows
Jim And Rosalee living with Rosalee's mother who was Sarah A. Blair she was a
widow then and 73 years of age at the time.

Alice was the dau of William & Rebecca Jane (Green) Ratliff. Fred was the
son of Wiley McCarty & Cynthia E. Ratliff. Alice was 35 and Fred was 41 years of
age at this marriage, Fred's first marriage was to Victoria Brown they married in
Johnson County Jan.29 1898. Thelma's obituary mentions no spouse or children.

The record of this marriage does not give the parents for either Fred or
Laura. It does show this to be Fred's second marriage. It states he was 24 &
Laura was 20. I think the age is wrong on Fred as being 24. I think he was 30
at the time of this marriage. I know from family members that this Fred later
married Alice Ratliff, Laura's sister.
The 1910 census shows Fred living with William & Rebecca Ratliff in the
Whitehouse precinct of Johnson County. He is listed as a widow and son-in-law,
it also list four children Hazel, Milton, Dixie, and Cecil, these children are
listed as grandchildren to William & Rebecca.
