If someone has lost a loved one to Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), the infectious fatal brain deteriorating disease, please submit information about them to the CJD Watch website at http://members.aol.com/stacy91434/w tch/watch.htm It is an attempt to track CJD cases throughout the world by geographical areas to show that CJD is more common than generally thought, hopefully leading to more research, treatments and a cure.

Researching Birkenmeyer family history. I have researched back as far as 1825 with the birth of my gr- gr- grandfather Philipp Birkenmaier on Feb. 12. in Obrigheim, Germany. The son of Melchoir Birkenmaier and Margaretha Ludascher. Waiting on more informa ion from Germany about parents and siblings.

I would be very interested in any information on the family name of Daugherty. I believe my great-grandfathers name was William Merle or Merle William Daugherty. He was married to Lucy Frederick of Indiana (Bell Township), Pennsylvania There were two children from this union; William Merle and Bertha. Mr. Daugherty left Pennsylvania about 1904, leaving his wife and family. The last contact the family had from his was from Cleveland, Ohio.
