The fruit of many years of research and over 50 different sources, this biographical dictionary is a convenient genealogical workbook for the researcher of the Underwood surname. Areas covered include VA, SC, TN, KY, GA, TX, AL, IN, AR, OH, NC, PA, IL and other states. Dates span 18th to 20th centuries, with the bulk falling in the 19th. Each entry also cites a reference source.

    The compiler has contacted many other researchers of the Underwood surname who have generously shared their work and are named in the List of Sources for the reader's further reference.
