Minor League Baseball Puffkins!
Take me out to the Ball Park - Shaumburg
minor league Baseball Park in Illinois that is! Shaumburg Honda sponsored three
"Puffkin Nights" this summer: July 12th was "Lion" Night (first 1,500
kids), July 26th was Ron "Kitty" Kittle Day (first 1,500 kids) and August 30th
- Greg Hibbard "Little Bulldog" Day at the Schaumburg Flyers.
These unfolded tags were attached to the same ear as the normal Puffkins tag.
**If you want to have your own "specially tagged" Schaumburg Flyers Minor League
Baseball Puffkins they are $6.95 each plus shipping. You will need a credit card to order.
Call the Stadium Gift Shop 1-847-891-2255.
You'll need to hurry - as of August 4th they had less than 100 of each left.

"Lion Night" with Lancaster (back of tag has Honda logo on all 3)

Ron "Kitty" Kittle Day with Cinnamon

Greg Hibbard "Little Bulldog" Day with Bosley

All about collectible Puffkin Key Rings!

In December, 1997, key rings that matched
their Puffkin big brothers and sisters came on the scene. They are a big hit with
pre-teens who like to wear them on their back packs for back-to-school. Except for the
chain and key ring attached to the top of their heads they are exact miniature replicas of
their full-size Puffkin counterparts . These cuties have a flat tag attached that is
shaped to match the outline of the logo and heart. Under the word "Puffkins" it
says 'Collectible Key Rings'. On the back of the tag is the name, birthday, UPC code and
all the warnings, etc. When the full-size Puffkin retires, so does the matching Puffkin
Key Ring and Puffkin Magnet. Key rings have their own collectors
list that are seperate from the full size Puffkin collector list. Not all Puffkins
have these miniature look-alikes. The 18 Limited Edition Easter, Halloween and Christmas
styles do not have matching key rings. Neither do the dinosaurs: Dinky, Drake and Pickles.
Other Puffkins without matching key rings are: Hugs & Kisses, Patrick & Patty,
Mystic, Patriot, Snowball and Spike. Happy will have a key ring but it will not be
available until December, 1999. All told there are 60 current key rings and 14 retired
styles as of August, 1999. Of the retired styles, Toby and Armour are the most valuable
since they have been retired the longest. The Armour key ring has the different "fur
up" and "fur down" fabric
variation on his back just like his big brother. Danny should also be very collectible
since he was not on the market very long before being retired. The Cosmo key ring does not
have a special tag, nor is there any benefit to St. Jude charity for the sales of the
Cosmo key ring like there is for the full size Cosmo.![]()
