Josephine Dorram 1874-1902

Josie was the youngest daughter of John Dorram and Harriet Ranie. She grew up in the small community of Cozad, Nebraska. Where she attended the one room school known as Ringold School. She carried this book and had schoolmates and relatives sign it. She married George Bodel 7/17/1895 and gave birth to a daughter, Ethel the following year. In March 1902 Josie became ill with a cold and died leaving her seven-year-old daughter Ethel motherless. Josie is buried at Fairview Cemetery just a few miles from the Homestead where she grew up in a two room Sod House. Ethel her daughter saved and treasured this book and passed it on to her daughter Norma McConnel Karre who in turn gave me a copy which I also treasure.
