Jacob Bushong 1735-1812

of Virginia being in usual Health of Body and of a Sound and Disposing mind,

memory and understanding considering the certainty of Death, and the

uncertainty of the time thereof, and being desirous to Settle my worldly

affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave this world when it shall

please God to call me hom, I do therefore make and publish this my last will

and Testament, in the manner and form following, that is to Say First and

Principally, I commit my soul into the hands of the Almighty God, and my body

after mentioned or named, and after my debts and funeral charges are

paid.....Secondly it is my Real and personal Estate which I may die possessed

of and make conveyence or conveyences thereof to the purchaser or purchasers and to make conveyence of conveyences to any lands I may have sold or to any

lands that have been sold their contract.......Thirdly so soon as the moneys

which may arise from the owing to me at my decease can be collected by my

executors, they are hereby directed to make an equal distribution thereof, into

ELEVEN SHARES so that sons-in-law PHILLIP HAINS & PETER NICHOLAS to be my sole

executors of this my last will and testment revoking and annulling all former

wills and testament by me heretofore made, ratifying and confirming this and

none other to be my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have

hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this Fourteenth Day of January in the

year of our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred & Eleven.
