"Digging for
          My Roots"

I am currently working on the genealogy lines of the MARTIN - McPIKE - SEXTON - ARWINE - SAYLES - BELL - COOK - GREEN - BARENTINE - KITTRELL - HALL - and MITCHELL families. Our MARTIN, SEXTON, and ARWINE ancestors, traveled in 1838-1840, from Grainger County, Tennessee to Lawrence County, Heltonville, Indiana, where they lived for several years, switching between Lawrence and Brown counties. The ARWINES left Indiana and settled in Tarrant County, Texas, and the MARTINS and McPIKES moved to Faulkner County, Arkansas about 1890, where they homesteaded. Most of my family lines are from Pulaski, Faulkner and White counties in Arkansas. Andrew Martin and Susan McPike Martin are my great grandparents on the MARTIN side.

The McPIKE Family was from Tennessee also. I am not exactly sure where they were before Tennessee, maybe North Carolina. They also, settled in Lawrence and Brown Counties in Indiana, and moved to Arkansas with the MARTINS.

The BARENTINES traveled to Arkansas, from Georgia, and the KITTRELLS came from North Carolina. Our HALL family came from South Carolina to Lonoke County, Arkansas, and the MITCHELL Ancestors were from Paducah, Kentucky.

We also have quite an extensive amount of information on Raymond's side of the family, which includes, KYZAR - RUSHING - BEARD - THORNHILL - WALLACE - MCGUFFEE - RITCHIE/RITCHEY - PRICE and others as well. We are continuously searching and adding to our records. Keep checking back here, because of the updates that are made regularly.

If you have any information on any of these family names please e-mail me. I would appreciate any information that you can help with on these family lines.
