In the Name of God Amen! I John Green of Preston, in the County of New London taking into consideration my own mortality, & being far advanced in Life, but of Sound, Disposing mind, & memory, Blessed by God for the same, Do this 10th Day of July AD 1791- make, & publish this my Last Will, & Testament- Imprimis! I give my Soul to God who Gave it me, & my body to the Earth, to be Buried in a Decent Christian manner, & s for that worldly estate which it has pleased God to Bless me with, I Dispose thereof in the following manner (viz) after my Just Debts, & funeral Charges are paid-
I give to my oldest son John Green my Duroy Brown Coat-
Item! I give to the heirs of my Son William Green Decd the sum of Twenty Shillings to be equally Divided between then to be paid by my Executor hereafter Named-
Item! I Give to my Son Winter Green one Silver Dollar to be paid by my executor
Item! I give to my son Christopher Green a note of hand I have against him for the Sum of about three pounds on Interest-
Item! I Give to my Son David Green my Lot of Land in Stick meadow Containing about thirteen acres be the Same more or Less, being the whole Lot which I Bought of Capt. Jeremiah Clark Decd-
Item! I Give to my Daughter Mary Olin, Wife of Philip Olin, a Silk Crepe Gown which was her mother's-
Item! I Give to the heirs of my Daughter Betty Bennett Decd, thirty Shillings Lawful money to be paid by my Executor, which is to be Equally Divided Between them --
Item! I Give to my Grandson Charles Green the Son of my Son Winter Green all my waring apparel Except my Coat which I have Given to my Son John
Item! I Give to my Daughter Amie Green for her kindness, & Extraordinary attention to me, all the Remainder of my personal Estate, which I have not Given away, except my farming Tools, & Carpenter Tools; I Also Give her my wood Lot of Land which I purchased of Nathan Herrick, Lying on Stone Hill
Item! I Give to my Great Granddaughter, Levina Brand my Second best feather bed provided She Lives to be Eighteen Years old, or Should marry, if She Should not Live to be Eighteen years old, or marry under that age, then my will is that my Daughter Amie have the bed --
Item! I Give to my Son David Green all my farming tools, & my Carpenter tools - And I do make, ordain, & Appoint my said Son David Green my Executor to this my Last Will, & Testament, enjoining on him to see the Same performed in Every part according to my true intent, & meaning, Ratifying, & Confirming this, & this only to be my Last Will & Testament, In witness whereof I have the Day & Year above written Set my hand, & Seal in Presence of the witnesses --

Personally appeared Benjamin Coit Esq., & Messr Samuel Tracy, & Asa Partridge, the above Named witnesses to the foregoing Will & under Solemn Oath Testify, & Say, that they were Each, & all of them personally present, & being Desired by the above Named John green, testator to this will to be witnesses to the Same, & they Did then, & there See him Sign, Seal, publish, & Declare this Instrument to be his Last Will, & Testament, & they Did Each of then in the Presence of sd Testator, In the Presence of Each other, Sign this Instrument as witnesseth, & they Each & all of them further Say that at the time sd Testator, Signed, & Published this will he was of Sound, Disposing mind, & memory ------Sworn before me John Tyler Justice of Peace ----------
