Elly and Ariella wrote this song for Avi and sang it at his Bar Mitzvah celebration. It goes to the tune of "graumen", traditionally sung on Purim.

Elly: |
Avi was born in June ‘85. |
I never thought that I’d survive. |
But I was oldest, I was king, |
And then I went and called you "Ming"! |
Ariella: |
I wasn’t born yet, but I’ve been told, |
And now the story will unfold: |
You loved to run out in the yard, |
But getting you inside was really hard! |
Elly: |
When she was born, you were only two. |
Because of this you had no clue. |
No more crib, you got a bed! |
You loved Ariella, so you said. |
Ariella: |
Eventually you got used to me. |
We never thought that this could be. |
You’d take my toys. I don’t know how. |
When I’d get them back, you’d have a cow. |
Elly: |
When you were little, your speech was pawr (poor). |
You had trouble with your awr’s (r’s). |
Iwving the dutty tuttle, watta in da pawrk (park) - |
Abba tried a few things, they helped you a lot. |
Ariella: |
While in fourth grade you got mono. |
You missed six weeks of school - Oh No! |
We were all so jealous of you! |
Watching TV all day was all you could do. |
Together: |
Avi, you’re now 13 years old. |
And now the truth, it must be told. |
Though we make such fun of you, |
We’re proud to have a brother like you! |
