My Surrogacy Journey

Hi, my name is Kara. I am a surrogate mother. I am still looking for the right match. �One of these days I'll be pregnant for someone else. �Everyone deserves the right to have a child. I am one of the few women who are blessed with the ability to carry a child and hand that baby over to the rightful parents when he or she is born. Some people don't understand surrogacy and why there are women who want to carry a baby for someone else. I hope that in writing this website I can make a difference! If I can help one person see how beautiful surrogacy is then I have done my job :-)

Why I decided to become a surrogate mother

When I was pregnant with my second child, I found a great chat room called Town Square Pregnant here on America Online. �It wasn't long till I met Kat. �She is a surrogate as well. �When I ran into her, she was pregnant. �It was her second surrogacy. �It was Kat who, without realizing it, got me thinking that I should help a couple in the very same way. �In the chat room she was known as Saint Kat. In the very same chat room I met Josephine. We became friends as well. �She cannot have children of her own. �Although Josephine has not chosen to use a surrogate mom to have a baby, her trails and tribulations influenced me more. �About the time I was ready to have my baby, Josephine got pregnant. �She did not want to share what is normally a joyous pregnancy test result with everyone. �Josephine was afraid that she would have another miscarriage. �We were all praying for her, but unfortunately she had a miscarriage. �A friend of her told me the "news." �I was in tears. �I felt guilty because I was having my second baby and Josephine couldn't even have her first. �From that day on I knew that the next baby I carry would not be my own!! �I am very happy with my decision! I am very happy to say that she has since adopted a cute little boy!
