Surrogacy has had a bad stigma attached to it.� Some of the bad cases have shadowed this issue, and made it an "evil" to some, including that its illegal to become a surrogate, or be an egg donor, AND according to Surrogate Mothers Network it is illegal to READ about the issue in Germany. I quote� "Achtung/Attention: It is our understanding that: the government of Germany has determined that it is a serious crime for those under its jurisdiction to view the contents of a web site like this. Such activity could lead to your prosecution for conspiracy to employ the services of a surrogate mother for the purpose of producing a human child. As we understand it the penalty for this "crime" is 50,000 DM fine, and or 10 years in prison. This is not a joke. Kein Witz. "
