12-Nov-1851  Attested into the 43rd Light Infantry, #2723.

25-Feb-1852  Survived the wreck of HMS Birkenhead, off the
             South African coast.

16-Apr-1862  Discharged from the Army

17-Dec-1903  Granted a Compassionate Campaign pension of 9 pence
             a day for life. (51 years after the fact)

13-Jan-1904  Francis GINN passed away.
