BASTIN Family History Epilogue

At this point, the BASTIN family story told through maps must stop, since it would be about the living, and could potentially violate their privacy. But, suffice it to say that my branch of the BASTIN family has been living in this area of Kentucky since about 1830, around NE Barren County, KY (some of which has been NW Metcalfe County, KY since 1860) and in SE Hart County. Numerous relatives live there to this day. I, myself, only left the area upon graduation from college when I migrated south to Florida. Although I have been in Florida for over 20 years now, this part of Kentucky still 'feels like home'.

Maps from 1834 and 1895 show this part of Kentucky.

Additional historical BASTIN migrations through the United States are also being traced. Recent findings have found a branch of the family in Tennessee that had been 'lost' for the better part of the last century to the family in Kentucky! A top-level summary of all the areas being researched is available here.

If anyone would like to add to this narrative, or make corrections as to dates, or whatever, please write!
