MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Trenchers (open face) Categories: Sandwiches, Snacks, Main dish Yield: 4 servings MMMMM-----------------------TUNA TRENCHERS---------------------------- 2/3 c Mayo 1/2 c Celery, thinly sliced 13 oz Water packed tuna, drained 1/2 c Shredded cheddar cheese 2 tb Onion; finely chopped 1 ts Dill weed (dried) 1/4 c Green pepper, finely chopped Lettuce or Endive MMMMM----------------------GARDEN TRENCHERS--------------------------- 1 c Chopped zucchini 1 c Mozzarella cheese, diced 1/3 c Sour cream 1 tb Onion finely chopped 1 ts Dried basil crushed 1 c Cherry tomatoes, quartered Lettuce MMMMM-----------------------BEEF TRENCHERS---------------------------- 1/2 lb Deli roast beef - 1/2 c Chopped onion 1/2 c Chopped green pepper 1/2 c Chopped tomato MMMMM---------------------HORSERADISH SAUCE-------------------------- 3 oz Cream cheese, softened 3 tb Milk 2 tb Cream style horseradish (or To taste) 1/2 ts Sugar 1/4 ts Salt 1/4 ts Black pepper Lettuce or Endive MMMMM-------------------------TRENCHERS------------------------------ 1 cn 8 oz crescent dinner rolls Trenchers: Heat oven to 375. Unroll dough; separate into four rectangles. Press or roll each to form 6 x 4 rectangle. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Firmly press perforations to seal. Prick with fork in several places. Bake at 375 for 8 - 10 minutes or until golden brown. Tuna Salad In medium bowl, combine all salad ingredients; mix well. Arrange lettuce on each "trencher", spoon salad evenly over lettuce. Serve immediately. Garden Salad In medium bowl, combine all ingredients except tomatoes. Mix well. Then gently fold in tomatoes right before serving. Arrange lettuce over each "trencher" spoon salad evenly over lettuce. Serve immediately. Beef Salad Tear beef into bite sized pieces. In medium bowl, combine all salad ingredients; toss gently. In small bowl, combine all sauce ingredients, blend well. Arrange lettuce over each "trencher" spoon salad evenly over lettuce, top with sauce. Serve immediately MMMMM
