I discovered our friend, Edmund Bear, also know as Winnie ther Pooh, or Pooh for short when I was in my 30's and my best friend bought everything Sears put out in the Winnie-the-Pooh design for the nursery for her first child. It took me only one reading of the A.A.Milne books to be permanently hooked. I now own over a dozen Pooh Bears, quite a few Tiggers, Piglets and Eeyores, and have amassed quite a collection of Pooh books, from Milne's to Disney's to Pooh and the Philosophers and Winnie Ille Pu (Winnie the Pooh in Latin).
