MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Frosted Meat Loaf Categories: Main dish, Kids, Meat Yield: 6 servings 1 Egg 1/3 c Quick-cooking rolled oats 1/3 c Bottled barbecue sauce 1/2 ts Salt Dash pepper 1 1/2 lb Ground beef Packaged instant mashed -potatoes (enough for 4 -servings) 3 Slices American cheese 1. In the bowl beat egg with fork till it is mixed. Add oats, barbecue sauce, salt and pepper. Stir to mix well. Add ground beef. Mix in with your hands. 2. Put meat mixture into the baking pan. Use your hands to shape meat into an 8x4-inch loaf. Put pan in oven. With adult help, turn oven to 350F. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. 3. With adult help, use hot pads to remove pan from oven and drain off fat in pan. 4. With adult help, fix potatoes. Follow directions on package but use only half of the milk. Use knife to spread potatoes over the top and sides of meat loaf to cover it. With adult help, put meat loaf in oven. Bake 15 minutes. Turn off oven. 5. With adult help, remove pan from oven.
