MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Chicken or Turkey Curry Dish Categories: Low-fat, Main dish, Poultry Yield: 6 servings Here's a great Chicken or Turkey Curry dish. 1/2 c thinly sliced celery 1/2 c finely chopped onion 2 garlic cloves, minced 3 T Chicken Stock (homemade) 4 T arrowroot or cornstarch 2 c slim milk 2 c water 1 c unsweetened applesauce 6 T no-salt added tomato paste 4 t curry powder 4 ea Frozen Bouillon Cubes (homemade) 6 c cooked chicken or turkey pieces METHOD 1. Saute celery, onion and garlic in stock in a large skillet. Blend in arrowroot, milk, water, applesauce, tomato paste, curry powder and bouillon cubes. 2. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Stir in chicken or turkey and heat thoroughly. VARIATION Serve over rice and top with raisins, chopped green peppers or chopped hard-cooked egg whites.
