| Ole Hovland Ole Hovland, 100, died yesterday, September 23, 1980 at Pelican Valley Hospital, Pelican Rapids. Services will be Monday, September 29, at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Erhard, with the Rev. Ronald Nelson officiating. Burial will be in the Bagesvold Cemetery, rural Erhard, MN. Born August 28, 1880, at Trondhjem Township, rural Rothsay he was the son of Nels and Marie (Brorby) Hovland. He attended rural school. On August 12, 1901, he married Carrie Ohe. The couple farmed in Bottineau County, ND and also near Rugby, ND. In 1952, they returned to the Rothsay, Erhard area. He served on the town board for several years. Perceding him in death were his wife and two sons. The past two years he had been a resident at Good Samaritan Home, Pelican Rapids. Survivors include three sons, Norbert and Lloyd, both of Pelican Rapids, and Morris of Seattle, Washington; six daughters, Hilma Speer, Alice Edwards, and Lida Mogren, all of Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Art (Cora) Anderson of Rothsay, Ida Evenson of Noonan, ND, and Mrs. Ronald (Eleanor) Hamar of Minot, ND; a brother, Melvin of Rothsay; 29 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
