Andrew Haslerud was born 19th of June of 1860 in Veggli, Nummedal and immigrated in 1882 to Wilkin Co. Mn near Rothsay where he homesteaded. He was married to Margit Lindoen and they moved in 1902 to Clay Co. to a farm five miles from Hawley, where he lived until he died. He also lived for a short time in Detroit Lakes, Mn. Haslerud died of heart failure on June 23, 1933. His wife died ten months before him. Haslerud leaves the following children: Theodor, Oscar & Clara at home, Albert in Hawley and Mrs. Annie Lundgren & Mrs. Ella Brown both of Detroit Lakes and a sister Mrs. Guri Flatin, in Rothsay. There are eight grandchildren. |
