1865 census shows he lived at Kjorven-hagen with his mother's parents who was Fredrikke Christina Nelsdatter on Bisgaard, Lunner.
Left from Oslo, Norway and arrived in US 1884. He died May 1, 1940 after being an invalid for 5 years after being kicked by a horse. Died in Gonvik, MN? Other residences, Rothsay (where first wife and daughter died), Fosston (1887), Pine Lake and Gonvik.
