| Lewis was killed by lightening at the age of 25 years. Lewis and another Rothsay man by the name of Ole Johnson were the first two to be buried in this cemetery. The tombstone was replaced by one that was very weather beaten. A son of Edwin Hovland, an undertaker, paid for it and had it replaced. Edwin was the son of Ole and Anna Hovland of Rothsay, Mn.
