Introduction

The Akron Town Hall located in Akron Township, Wilkin County, Minnesota. An election was held June 18, 1879 at Thom Knudtson's to elect township officers. Appointed judges for the election were Tollef O. Gronseth, Issac Larson and Andrew Christopherson. Appointed clerks were Thom Knudtson and Peter H. Funkley. Photo taken by Marilyn Moen October 1996. As you can see the Akron Town Hall is now in a pasture and sharing space with this herd of cattle.
