                       SNOW WHITE GROWING CRYSTALS

     1/4   c            Water
     1/2   c            Household ammonia
     1/4   c            Salt
                        Charcoal Briquette

  Place charcoal in a shallow bowl or dish.  Mix
  ingredients well. Pour over coal gently.  Coal should
  protrude above the solution to start to grow in a
  couple of hours.  When this has become dry, the
  crystals can be broken off and attached to snow
  scenes, Christmas decorations, etc. . .with glue or
  liquid starch.
