                          Patti's Anise Cookies

   3      eggs          room temperature
   1      cup           sugar
   1 1/2  to 2 cups     cake flour
     1/2  teaspoon      baking powder
   1      tablespoon    anise seed

In an electric mixer, food processor, etc: Beat eggs and sugar for 20 mins at low speed, add other ingredients and beat for 3 minutes longer. Drop from teaspoon onto well-greased and floured cookie sheets, 1" apart. Let stand overnight or about 10 hours, at room temperature, to dry. Bake in a moderate oven, 350, 10-15 mins.
