                           CANDY CHERRY COOKIES

   1       c            Butter
   1       c            Powder Sugar
   1                    Egg
   1       t            Vanilla
   2 1/4   c            Flour
   1       c            Chopped nuts
   2       c            Candy cherries,
                        Red and green

  Cream butter and powder sugar until fluffy, add beaten
  Egg and beat until fluffy, add vanilla than flour,
  nuts and cherries. Roll into 2 or more cylinders in
  waxed paper and chill a couple of hours. Get good and
  cold. Slice as thin as you can and place on cookie
  sheet and Bake 10-12 minutes in a 375 degree oven. Or
  until edges lightly turn. Cool on racks. I don't
  remember how many but would have to guess at about 4
