* Exported from MasterCook * Apple/Cranberry Crisp Recipe By : Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Fruits Desserts Breads Holidays Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- -----NORMA WRENN NPXR56B-------------------- 10 md To 12 md-sized tart apples 3/4 c Fresh cranberries -- rinsed 2/3 c Granulated sugar Topping: 3/4 c All-purpose flour Packed 6 tb Unsalted butter -- melted Such as Granny Smith 3 tb All-purpose flour 1 1/2 ts Cinnamon 1 c Rolled oats 2/3 c Dark brown sugar -- firmly 3/4 c Pecans -- chopped Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel and core apples then slice lengthwise 1/4-inch thick. In a bowl, toss apples and cranberries with the flour. Stir in sugar and cinnamon. Pour the fruit mixture into a 9"x13" cake pan. Combine the oats, flour, brown sugar and pecans in a bowl. Pour in melted butter and combine, crumbling the mixture with your fingers. Sprinkle topping evenly over the fruit mixture. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until the topping is golden, the filling is bubbling and the apples are tender when pierced. If top gets too brown, cover loosely with foil.
