               BASIL PARMESAN MARINADE FOR GRILLED TOMATOES

   2       c            Fresh basil leaves -- chopped
   1 1/2   c            Olive oil
     1/2   c            White wine vinegar (I used
                        Balsamic)
   2       tb           Garlic -- minced
     2/3   c            Fresh parmesan -- grated
                        Salt/pepper to taste

  In a food processor, mix all the ingredients and
  marinate the tomatoes at room temperature for about 2
  hours before grilling! Carole Comments: I was recently
  at a "tasting" from Fetzer Vineyards (CA) and they
  served these wonderful BBQ'd Beefsteak tomatoes! The
  chef offered his recipe... saying that they BBQ'd them
  over Mesquite, and felt the marinating intensified the
  tomato flavor. Forget what he said, and take my word
