Vojtovce
Over the years, the village had many names (Hungarian):

Vojtovce is located in Zemplin County, Slovakia, about 1 mile southeast of the city of Stropkov. Historically, Vojtovce was first in the Stropkov district, then in the Presov Region, Bardejov district until 1960; and Eastern Slovakia Region, Svidnik district from 1968.

The area of the village totals 493 Hectares (about 1,218 acres) with its center 215 meters above the sea level. The land in the surrounding area lies between 200-350 meters above the sea level. Vojtovce is situated in the Low Beskydy in the valley of the Vojtovce creek. Most of the area comprises of rolling hills and pine trees. There is a sulfur water spring nearby.
It was said that Vojtovce was part of the King's holding in the 13th Century. The villages earliest mention is in 1408 when it belonged to the landlords of Stropkov. Later, the village was developed by Germans. In 1715 there were 15 occupied homes, 4 unoccupied homes, and a water mill. In 1787 there were 178 inhabitants living in 26 houses. In 1828 there were 205 inhabitants living in 26 houses. From 1767 to the 20th Century Vojtovce belonged to the Hadik-Barkoczy family.
The early inhabitants were shepherds and loggers by occupation. During the First Czechoslovak Republic (between 1918 and the Second World War), much of the population was occupied in the weaving industry. In 1944 the Germans burned the village to the ground. The farming cooperative was established in 1952, collapsed in 1953 and resumed in 1959. In 1965 the village incorporated with Breznicka. Today, the inhabitants work in Stropkov and Svidnik.
There is a Greek Catholic Chapel built in 1848 in the folk baroque style.
