1869 Census: Zempl�n County, Hungary
The 1869 census of the old Hungarian county of Zempl�n is very complete and contains 400 places. The census is written in Hungarian, although headings may be in both Hungarian and Cyrillic. An online Hungarian to English Dictionary can be very useful in translating these census records.
Genealogical information contained in the census includes the names, birthplaces, ages, and occupation of all family members and also includes information about their residence, including the types of rooms the home has, outbuildings, and livestock.
