I have good news for you today friend! You're never too old to do the will of God. You're never too old to pray and intercede for the lost. You're never too old to give a good Holy Ghost shout unto the Lord!

Many have been deceived into thinking that when they retire it's all over but the shouting. Some enjoy travelling all over the world in their RV's, while others are content to stay home and wait for the Lord to take them home to glory.

When older people continue to dwell on negative thoughts and consume themselves with "going home," many become discouraged, depressed and hopeless. You don't have to be hopeless if you're a Christian. If you're still alive, that means God is not finished with you yet. Don't sit around all day long meditating on dying. Focus your eyes upon Jesus! He still has a plan for your life.

I heard an old time Pentecostal preacher say, "I'm not retired, I'm REFIRED!" Some of you need to get back to the altar and get REFIRED! You need a fresh touch of the Holy Ghost and fire! You can still sing praises to Him when you are sitting in your lazy boy chair. You can still raise your hands and exalt the one who created you and formed you in your mother's womb. You can still cry out to God for the salvation of your loved ones and friends. God has a plan for your life. You're not worthless. You are a chosen vessel, a royal priesthood, a holy nation that God Himself still has His hand upon. Halleljah!

Psalm 92:12-14 says, The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in OLD AGE; they shall be fresh and flourishing, to declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

Glory be to God forevermore! This Scripture says that the righteous will flourish in their old age. Flourish means to blossom. You old timers need to understand what this Scripture is saying. The Lord says, "You are going to bear fruit in your old age and you are going to blossom like a flower." People are going to be able to see the goodness of God in your life. You will be able to declare the mighty works of God to those around you. You will be able to speak into the lives of the younger generation and share with them testimonies of all that God has done for you. You will be able to encourage others with your words of advice, because you've been there done that.

God has delivered many of you from death. Declare it to others! Let people know that you serve a living God. Let them know that you serve a God who still heals, delivers and saves! Some of you have powerful testimonies of how God touched you with His healing power. Some of you can testify of God's miracle working power in your life. Many of you have been through hard times and the Lord has allowed you to live to testify to others that there's nothing too difficult for our God.

I'm getting excited just writing this article. This is shouting ground! You've got something to live for. You've got a reason to shout the praises of God! Maybe you can't run and leap before the Lord like you use to, but you can still SHOUT Hallelujah! You can still praise Him in the midst of it all!

If you have eyes that can still see, you need to praise Him. If you have legs that still have the capability to walk around your house, you need to praise Him. If you can still read your Bible, you need to read it like you've never read it before, because the Lord wants to speak to your heart. You're never too old to hear the voice of God. You're never too old to receive revelation knowledge from the throne. :-)

I want to encourage you today, get your eyes back on Jesus. You're life is not over yet. God still has a plan for you. He loves you and He cares about all that's going on in your life right now. He feels your pain. He knows your weaknesses, but in spite of all, He's still on the throne.

You're not retired, you're getting refired so that you can do His will. Glory!!!!!

Lift up your heads and rejoice in the Lord your God for He is mighty to save and deliver His people.
