June Devotion!

How important is truth?

I have been talking to so many people lately who are walking in deception. They are blinded by the devil, and it's leading them straight to destruction. What can we do to help people who have been blinded by the enemy?

Have you ever heard this saying:
If you love someone, you will speak the truth to them, even if it hurts.

There is TRUTH in this statement. If you love someone, you don't want them to be led astray. You want what is best for them. Therefore, you will speak truth to them, in love, and pray for them to be set free from the deception that they are walking in. Sometimes, we need to dig deeper within ourselves in order to stop operating out of our soul realm. We must learn to be people who operate out of the Spirit of God that abides within us. We must be people who are led by the Spirit, not by our emotions and feelings. When we are led by our emotions, we might say, "I don't want to tell Bill the truth, because it might hurt him." Yes, it might hurt him for a moment, but once he accepts the truth, the veil will be taken away from his mind and he will see things in a proper perspective.

Psalm 51:6 - Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.

The psalmist David tells us that the Lord desires truth in our inward parts. The truth must dwell within us. The truth must become a part of us.

The Bible says, "The truth shall make you free and you shall be free indeed."

If we are not walking in truth, we are not walking in freedom. If the truth is not in our inward parts, we are walking in bondage.

Many people don't even realize that they are living in bondage. They don't have a clue. They think they are free, but in reality, they are bound by the devil.

Where do we find truth? We find truth in God's word. We stop listening to the lies of the devil, because there is NO truth in him. He's a liar and the father of it. If we listen to the devil, we will be deceived. If we are deceived, we will walk in darkness and bondage. It's a vicious circle.

If we walk in truth and receive what His word tells us, we will walk in the fullness of life and liberty. There's no other place for us to be, friend.

Where the presence of the Lord is, there is liberty. The Lord wants us to be free. Free to serve Him. Free to worship Him. Free to love Him. Free from the bondage that once had us bound.

Are you free today? Or, are you deceived? Are you walking in the light of truth, or are you walking in deception?

Things can change, even now. Read the word of God and meditate on what He has to say. Desire truth in your inward parts. Pray for the Lord to minister truth to you. He is faithful to respond to your prayers.
