"Mr. Food" Doggie Bones

(Makes about 12 biscuits)

1 cup all purpose flour

1cup whole wheat flour

1/2 cup wheat germ

1/2 non fat dry milk

3 TBS. vegetable shortening

1 tsp. brown sugar

1/2 tsp. salt

1 egg

1/3 cup water

Preheat oven to 350' Coat a cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large bowl mix all dry ingredients until crumbly. Add egg and water and mix well.

On a lightly floured surface knead the dough until smooth.

Roll out to 1/2- inch thickness.

Use a doggie cookie cutter, or knife or desired shape and cut out.

Place on the cookie sheet and bake for 25 to 30 min. or until lightly browned.

Remove to wire rack to cool completely.

Beware any pup allergies to wheat, egg or dairy products.

Said to be tested on pups that loved them!
