WHO AM I?

This page was updated 2/9/08.

Hello, My name is Tammy. I am an alumni of New River Community College in Dublin, Virginia with an A.A.S. Degree in Administrative Support Technology and an A.A&S. Degree in General Studies. I'm also an alumni of Auburn High School in Riner, Virginia. In the past several years, I've had a variety of jobs such as a bread store clerk, grocery store cashier/part-time meat department clerk, receptionist, telemarketer, secretary, teller, and temp service office jobs.

I have many hobbies and interests. I love to study the Word of God. I enjoy watching anointed live church services on TBN and Daystar. I really enjoy preachers that are really on the Word and are extremely on fire. I especially enjoy it when the preaching is accompanied with a good organ player. I love listening to good modern praise and worship and black gospel music. I love Israel Houghton, Lakewood Music, and "campmeeting style" shouting music that you can praise God and really dance to. I love playing the piano and feeding ducks/geese. If you are a piano player (esp gospel) or would love to learn, check out my favorite site, Hear And Play Zone (interactive musicians forum). THIS IS THE BEST PLAY TO LEARN TO PLAY GOSPEL KEYBOARDS/PIANO!!!! Check out My Profile Page on the Hear and Play Zone.

June 2004, I went to MegaFest 2004 with some church friends. It was the most powerful meetings ever. It was more powerful watching it on DVD, than it was being there. You can feel the power of God in your living room. Juanita Bynum's messages on the "Threshing Floor" was the most powerful messages I'd ever heard on prayer. It is a message the whole Body of Christ needs to hear. We need to set aside a private place where we can get on our face before God and God will bring us the victory from there.

My fiancee, Jay and I.

FIANCEE

In July 2002, I became engaged to my boyfriend Jay. We started dating in March 2000, but we had been casual friends since 1995. We haven't set a date yet, but we are planning on having a wedding sometime in the near future. Then, I will move into his house in Pulaski, Virginia.

Jay is an answer to prayer. When we started going together, I was content with being single. Jay is everything I would ever want in a man. We are so much alike, especially spiritually. We have the same spirit of faith. We are both adamant about the things of God. We always want to be on the cutting edge of what God is doing in the Body of Christ. We love the uncompromised Word of God, especially word of faith teaching and we both hate religious tradition. We love really powerful Pentecostal Holy Ghost meetings.

My first Sunday running projector at
Pulaski Church of God, May 2003.

CHURCH

Jay and I attend Abundant Life Ministries in Pulaski, Virginia since April 2006. I'm the backup keyboard player in the band and Jay was the head sound man. We've been helping out in these areas of the church since October 2006. Jay just recently took a break from the sound dept (Feb. 2008). We're currently getting back into faith teaching heavily. We've been word of faith believers for many years but the past 6 years, we've mostly been in tradional Pentecostal denominational churches but we're not getting as good of a word as we did in Word of Faith churches. We may be considering a church change soon. Please keep us in prayer. Thanks!

Jay and I attended Agape World Outreach Ministries in Pulaski, Virginia from June 2005 to November 2005. The Pastor was Edward L. Slaughter (aka "Lydell Slaughter), who now lives in Charlotte, NC. He is a graduate of Kenneth Hagin's school, Rhema Bible Training Center We used to go to the weekly bible studies he had in 2000, before he started the church. At the While we're there, as many as 30-40 people attend on Sunday mornings. The church was in an old two-story store building in the middle of downtown Pulaski. The church disbanned in Fall 2007. Pulaski is a small town of approximately 10,000, 60 miles west of Roanoke.

Previously, Jay and I were members of Pulaski Church of God. We attended PCOG from January 2002-June 2005. It is the biggest church in the New River Valley area (Pulaski, Montgomery, Giles, and Floyd counties), with the capacity to seat almost 1,000 people and averages around 450 on Sunday mornings. It is the church that Perry Stone preached his first "big" revival in back in 1981. It went for several weeks and hundreds of people were saved and baptised in the Holy Ghost there. It was shut down prematurely. If it had continued, it could've been a "Brownsville" type of revival. The Lord spoke to Perry in a dream that when the time is right, he would go back and get that "fish". That "fish" is that revival for this area be restored.

I was actively involved in the media ministry at the Pulaski Church of God. I was one of the operators for the projector at the church. I helped run the announcements, music lyrics, and the sermon text for the church services. The church uses PowerPoint and Media Shout for each service.

For the first year that I helped out with the projector, we used the old sound room in the balcony. Also, the sound booth was on the first two rows in the balcony. At the beginning of May 2004, they converted the old coat closet that was right behind the sanctuary into a new media booth. We moved into it right before a weekend revival with Perry Stone. It freed up two rows of pews in the balcony, which were needed during the revival. We had a packed house each night. It was a great improvement.

We formerly attended Christian Growth Center (now Life Community Church), a word of faith church in Christiansburg, Virginia. I was a member there from 1995-2002. I attended the church from November 1994 to January 2002. Jay attended there on and off for over 20 years. It was difficult at times for him to go because it was a 40-45 minute drive from his house after driving that much to work everyday and at one time he was unable to attend because of taking care of his late mother. When he wasn't able to attend church, he would watch Kenneth Copeland on TV or listen to Kenneth Copeland and Kenneth Hagin tapes because it was hard to find another good church in the area because of a lot of religious tradition.
