Introduction: Hearing and Seeing are two of the five senses that are most important to human beings. My messages deals with seeing and hearing. How many have seen the miracles or have heard of some ones testimony of God's touch on their life.
1. A Rebellious People: Ezekiel 12:2,Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not; for they are a rebellious house.
a.Have eyes to see, but see not.
b. Have ears to hear, but hear not.
c. They were rebellious not handicapped.
2. A Foolish People:Jeremiah 5:21, Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not.
a. Again they have eyes but see not.
b. They have ears but hear not.
c. O foolish People for they are without understanding.
3. A Unknowing People: Matthew 13:13, Therefore speak I to them in parables; because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
a. They are looking but not seeing.
b. They are hearing but not understanding.
c. Jesus messages were plain and simple parables.
4. A Hard- Hearted People: Acts 28:27, For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
a. Their eyes are closed, no way to see.
b. Their ears are dull, God is tuned out.
c. By hearing or really seeing, they would repent.
5. A Blessed People: Luke 10:24, For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not hear them.
a.Blessed People who have seen.
b. Blessed People who have heard.
c. Prophets and kings of old times would like to have seen and heard.
6. God's Seeing People: Genesis 6:5, And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
a. God sees the world we live in.
b. Many times he saw wickness in the earth.
c. God is watching, for his eyes are to and fro in the Earth.
7. God's Hearing People: Isaiah 59:1-2, Behold the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ears heavy, that it cannot hear; 2. But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
a. God ears are able to hear.
b. Sin causes God not to hear, it separates us from him.
c. God is listening, He said, we shall all give an account for every idle word and he will punish those that take his holy name in vain.
Conclusion: All that see the work of God should believe. All that hear of the working of God should believe. Seeing is believing, don't be like Thomas, he heard, but had to see to believe. Blessed are those that have not seen , yet they believe in Christ Jesus. Satan has the goal of putting blinders on all that would see the light of Jesus Christ.
