THE CONCEPT OF THE TRINITY

Why is understanding the Trinity important? To know the character of God. The Holy Bible explains the Trinity. To fully understand the Holy Scriptures, we need to go to the original text, in Hebrew...
Deut. 6:4
Hear, O Israel (Shema Yisrael): The Lord our God (Adonai Eloheinu), the Lord is
one (Adonai Ehad).

It is important to note that the Hebrew word used for 'ONE' is not Yahid, which denotes absolute singularity elsewhere in the O.T. Instead, Moses chose the Hebrew word
Ehad, which signifies unity and oneness in plurality. This word is used in Genesis 2:24 where Adam and Eve are instructed to become "one flesh". It's also found in Numbers 13:23, where the Hebrew spies returned with a "single cluster" of grapes.

Ehad is the word that God uses when he tells Ezekiel: "Join them together into one stick so that they (the two sticks for Israel and Judah) will become one (ehad) in your hand" (Ezekiel 37:17).

The first words of the Bible declare: "In the beginning God (Elohim) created the heavens (hashamayim) and the earth." The word for God here is in the
plural form, even as is the word for heavens, and that it is the same as used in the first commandment: "You shall have no other gods (Elohim) before me" (Exodus 20:3).

The plurality of the name Elohim is in Genesis 1:26 when God said: "Let
us make man in our image." In Genesis 3:22 God said: "The man has now become like one of us." And in Genesis 11:7 God said: "Come, let us go down and confuse their language."

The central difference between Christian and non-Christian denominations is the acceptance of the Trinity. If you don't agree with the concept of the Trinity, you are believing in a different god, and only the God revealed in the Holy Bible can save us from ETERNAL HELL. Here are some verses regarding the Holy Trinity...

"oneness in plurality".
