Will of David Rowe
Georgia
Meriwether County
In the name of God, Amen. I, David Rowe of said County and State, being of advanced age and knowing that must depart this life, deem it right and proper that I should make a disposition of the property which a kind providence has blessed me. I therefore make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all others heretofore made by me.
Item 1st: I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner. My soul I trust shall return to God who gave it.
Item 2nd: I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid without delay.
Item 3rd: I give to my daughter Rebecca Gray one bed + bedstead, one cow + calf of her choice, her work stand, poplar leaf table, clothes table, one chest, her mother's trunk, and all the bed furniture she has made or makes, to make her equal with the others who have left me.
The remainder of my estate to be equally divided with my said daughter Rebecca Gray and all my heirs. I wish and request that my friend Bishop Clements act as my executor in carrying out this my last will and testament.
Signed, sealed, and declared by David Rowe as his last will and testament in presence of us the 16th of June 1867.
