This document contains information from the cemetery records of Nimrod Cemetery in Perry County, Arkansas as of 11/22/1998. The cemetery is laid off in a basic plat of 30 rows east to west and approximately 35 plots north to south in each row. Some rows are designated as short rows and contain less grave sites than others. However, the location of row and plot numbers may not exactly correspond with the actual placement of the graves. In this document R = Row Number, beginning with R1 on the west side, closest to the community building. P = Plot number, beginning with P-1 on the north side (nearest the road). None is indicated when the Marker is present with name and birth date engraved, but we are relatively sure the person is living.
The oldest marked grave is from a death in 1826. However, there are numerous unmarked graves which may date prior to this period.
