Know all men by these presents that we Samuel Burkett and Mary Burkett
his wife of Union Township Bedford County and State of Pennsylvania have granted, bargained and sold aliened released and confirmed unto Thomas Burket and Jacob Burket all of Union Township County and State aforesaid for the consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars lawful money to us in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipts whereof is hereby acknowledge all our right, title claim, interest and demands whatsoever of unto or put of a certain tract of land containing two hundred acres or thereabout more or less adjoining lands of Jno. B. Ake Valentine Ficus and others it being the same tract of lands my grandfather Jacob Burket Sr. Deceased owned in his lifetime after his death the one title by sale became vested in my father Jacob Burket Jr. deceased and after his death by his will the one eighth part became vested in us Samuel Burket and Mary his wife the Subscribing parties hereunto and further we the before named Samuel Burket and Mary his wife do bind ourselves our heir executors or Administrators unto said Thomas and Jacob Burket their heirs and assigns forever that we have released to forever quit claim of all interest in the above ascribed tract of land whatsoever in law, equity, or otherwise it being the one eight part of the above named tract of land as witness our hands and seals April 20th A.D. 1848.

April 20th A.D. 1848 personally appeared before
me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace in and for said county
the within named Samuel Burket and Mary his wife and acknowledged the within
Deeds of release to be their act and each of their act and deed and desired
the same might be recorded as such according to law She the said Mary being
of lawful age separate from her said husband
by me examined and the full contents of the within Indenture made known
to her. She did declare that she voluntarily and of her own free will and
accord sign seal and deliver without any coercion of compulsion of her
said husband whatever witness my hand and seal
