Baxter Resident Died Here Today


Mrs Godfrey Burkett Succumbed in Adrian Hospital at Age of 55 Years.

  Mrs Cathehrhine Burkett, wife of Godfrey Burkett, of Baxter, died this morning at the age of 55 years after three week's illness.
  The deceased was born in Ringgold September 24, 1885, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hartman and was united in marriage to Godfrey Burkett August 21, 1902.  She was a member of the Methodist Church in Reynoldsville and was held in high esteem.
  She leaves nine sons and daughters and nine brothers and sisters.  The sons and daughters are: Mrs John Gahegan of Punxsutawney; Mrs Clayton Neal, Lee, Ray and Homer Burkett, of Youngstown, OH.; Emory and Cyril of Emerickville, and Eugene and Ethel, at home.
  The brothers and sisters are; Mrs Oscar McGaughey and Mrs King Chambers,
of Erie; Mrs Miles Mitchell and William Hartman, of Gary, Ind; Mrs Clarence Fetterman, of Trenton, Mich.; Mrs Charles McCafferty, of Kittanning; Merle Hartman, of Mayport; Charles, of Oakridge, and Frank, of Pittsburgh.
