zanowny Panie Kaju. Z duzym zainteresowaniem obejrzalem panska strone. Gratuluje, dzieki niej dowiedzialem sie nieco o heraldyce. W zwiazku z tym mam do Pana pytanie,a wlasciwie prosbe, otoz mieszkam we wroclawskim osiedlu Lesnica, ktore kiedys - do 1741 roku - bylo niewielkim miasteczkiem. Z materialow, do jakich udalo mi sie dotrzec, sporzadzilem maly rys historyczny. Jednak mam klopot z ustaleniem wlasiwego wizerunku herbu miasta. Wedlug opisu przedstawia on polowe orla piastowskiego w lewym polu tarczy herbowej, a w prawym prawe ramie. W jakiejs ksiazce przeczytalem, ze bylo to "prawe zbrojne ramie", chyba chodzi o to, ze jest ono w zbroi? Nie wiem tez jakiego koloru powinny byc pola tarczy. Bardzo prosze o pomoc. Great page. I'm working on my husband's family tree. My husband is - Stanley John Harackiewicz. His father is Stanley Peter Harackiewicz. Stanley Peter Harackiewicz's father was MARCIN HARACKIEWICZ. Marcin arrived in New York on 17 July 1912, having sailed from Hamburg 5 July 1912. He was on the S.S. Cleveland. He was age 21, single, a laborer. Nationality was Russian, Race was Polish. His ast residence was Kadycz, Russia. His mother was listed as Rafaline Burke. Any information would be very helpful. I didn't realize how hard it would be to get information.

Grandfather John Smoczyk and grandmother Josephine Blasczyk married in Brzostkow (between cities of Poznan and Jarocin) Poland in 1890. Both in US by 1892. Trying to make contact with anyone with surname of SMOCZYK. Hoffman's book indicates fewer than 600 people with that same spelling in Poland...would really like to hear from someone.
