Patience DREW m. Thomas NOBLE at Dover, New Hampshire in 1798. They were later residents of South Lee New Hampshire. This is all I have been able to find. They are my great great grandparents. This information is in family bible, in appendex of Boltwood's "Noble Family" and in records available through FamilySearch. She "has to be" the grand daughter of Thomas Drew and Patience Bunker I think. If you have any information to share with this almost newbie, it would be most appreciated.

Hi, I am researching the Drew family and am having trouble with a Daniel Drew b. 1754 who married a Dolly Holmes in 1781 and who died in 1826. My family bible, which was written in by the husband of Abigail Drew, the daughter of Daniel and Dolly Drew, states the the parents of Daniel were Clem and Betsey Drew. My problem is that I have found this same couple off another web site and they have his parents as Zebulon Drew and Sarah Chandler..If you have any information on this Daniel Drew, I would really appreciate it. I find it hard to believe that Abigail did not know the correct names of her grandparents. I have not been able to make a connection off the Vermont census record, I do think there is a possibility that Daniel may have been born in NH. Linda

I have been able to research back to my 2nd Gr. Grandfather Oliver Dyer DREW. It is stated on his death cert. his parents are Abram DREW b. N.H. ? and Mary Ann BRYANT b. Maine?. Mr. Oliver Dyer Drew was born in Saco, Me., June 26, 1848. At fourteen years of age he began to take care of himself, obtaining a position in the cotton mills of the Peperil Manufacturing Company at Biddeford, Me., mastering every detail of the cotton manufacturing business he became, in a few short years, overseer of the Great Falls Manufacturing Company at Great Falls, N.H. He left this position to go to Fall River, Mass., to work in the first mill of Richard Borden, where he remained for nine years as overseer. Later he was superintendent of the Stafford & Mason Mill at Barrowsville, and was also connected with the Elmwood Mills at Providence, R.I., for a short time. This was followed by a period of nine years at the Danielson Mills at Danielson, Conn. He then worked for the Dwight Manufacturing Company at Chicopee, Mass., for eight years, and while there he rebuilt and entirely refitted the mill along new and modern lines. On coming to the Interlaken Mills at Phenix, R.I., in 1908, he occupied the position of superintendent until his death May 5, 1922, during the textile strike. In the midst of a busy life Mr. Drew found time to belong to Moriah Lodge, No.15, Free and Accepted Masons, of Danielson, Conn.; to the Friendly Union Lodge, No.164, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, of Fall River; and to the American Mechanics' Association, having held all offices in this latter organization. Oliver D. DREW married (first) in 1868, Emma KNIGHT, of Saco, Me., who died in 1878, leaving three sons and three daughters: Willis, who filled the position of manager of the Interlaken Mills; Harry, who died July 27, 1917, was superintendent of the Knight Mill and also of the Union Mill at Buffalo; Arthur, who died April 12, 1916, was superintendent of the Halifax Mill; Mary Eva, who married George Edwin CHAPMAN, of Providence; Ada, who married Clinton RISING, a draftsman with the Taft-Pierce Manufacturing Company at Woonsocket, R.I. Oliver D. married (second), May 19, 1886 in Providence, Helen F. BOND, of Waterbury, Me. There is one son by this marriage, Harris, who was superintendent of the Wilkinson Mill of Wilkinsonville, Mass., and a daughter Caroline D., who married Clarence E. SHELDON. Mal [email protected]

G'day. My DREWs are in England, initially London and then later Lowestoft, Suffolk. My GGG Grandfather Edward DREW was born approx 1800 (no details), married Susannah BAKER at St Leonard's Shoreditch in 1824. Their children were Richard, Thomas, John, Edward (my GG Grandfather), James, Charles and Susannah between 1823 and 1838, all still in London. Edward was born in Walworth on 5 Jan 1832 and married Catherine CARTER in the Newington Register Office in 1860. They then moved to Lowestoft, Suffolk where there first child, Edward Thomas was born in 1861. Seven more children followed: Henry William, Minnie Elizabeth, Alfred, Catherine, George (my G Grandfather), Susannah and Frank (born 1880), all in Lowestoft. George was born in December 1874 and married Martha RIX from Wells, Norfolk in 1896. Their children were George Donald, Elsie, Gerald Victor, Doris Evelyn or Ellen, Leslie Rix (my grandfather), Wilfred Cecil, Clifford Harold and Beryl Dulcie between 1897 and 1914, all in Lowestoft. Les was born in 1904, migrated alone to Australia as a 17 yo under the Dreadnought Scheme in 1922 aboard the Hobsons Bay. Brothers Cliff and Gerry migrated to Australia later. I have made contact with a son of Beryl (married name CURTIS) and a granddaughter of George Donald. Anyone with any links to this family, please contact me [email protected] Thanks.

I am researching the KING family of Mass/Nunda, Livingston, NY/Ionia, MI. Nancy King, daughter of Amos & Elizabeth (Bacon) King was the widow of Major Shute, with 5 children when she married Jesse Drew in Ionia, MI, on Jan 1, 1865. The 1870 census shows her living with him in Campbell Twp, Ionia, MI with his children: William, Hila, Silas, and Carl. Youngest child, Elvah, age 4, appears to be the child of Nancy, if his age is correct. 1880 census of Campbell, Ionia, MI lists them with children: Silas, Earl, Alvah (age 14), William and Valina (d-in-law). Nancy and some of her children are buried at the Clarksville Cemetery in Ionia County, MI. Many of Jesse's children's death/marriage records are in Ionia. Jesse and Nancy's son Elvah, b. 1866 MI, divorces his wife Joan in 1897 in Ionia. I lost track of him until the 1930 census when he shows up in Oak Hill, Cook County, Ill. You should know that Elvah's middle initial appears to be "C" on the records I've seen, and there appears to be another Elvah C. Drew, b in Michigan about 10 years earlier, so don't get confused! If you know more about Elvah and his children, death or burial place, please write me! Thanks! C. Stanley

Hello - I'm trying to find out what happened to the descendants of Harold Edward R Drew and his wife Kitty (both deceased). Their children are Marion, Muriel, Vera, Betty and Robert (Bob) Drew. Found from a ship's record that he intended to go to Marquette, Michigan to stay with Uncle Hathway (presume this was my great grandmother's brother). My grandma subsequently had a letter from him in Ohio Avenue, Detroit. They would all probably be in their 70s. Any info at all would be very much appreciated. Thank you! Pam Mason Hampshire, UK

My name is Evelyn McKinney and I am looking for any informaion about Thomas J. Drew, b.. 1785 in or around Richmond, Henrico County, Virgina. He married Adaline Abbott. They had several children, names not known but believe one is my ggrandmother named Catherine Drew b. July 4, 1818 in or around Manchester, Chersterfield, Virginia (or Richmond). She married William Henry Marley. I have been told about 1841 in Kentucky, however have not been able to find proof. Based on their movements I believe either Marley or Catherine Drew (maybe both) were Cherokee Indian. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Evie
