Two Great Prophecies of Christ

The three Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke contain parallel passages of Christ’s teachings regarding the tribulation and the last days. These passages are:
The First Prophesy:
Christ teaching near the Treasury (in the Temple, see Luke 20:1):
Luke 21 (Remember the emphasis of the book is on Christ the Man)
The Second Prophesy:
Teachings from the Mount of Olives (out of the Temple):
Matthew 24 (Remember the emphasis of the book is on Christ the King)
Mark 13 (Remember the emphasis of the book is on Christ the Servant)
Which contains some overlaps with regard to Luke 21.
Christ gives a summary of events, which might have taken place in the lifetime, and experience of those who were there to hear His words:
Luke 21: 8-9 (Note "the end is not by and by)
Matt. 24: 4-6
Mark 13: 5-7
Compare these with the following:
Luke 21: 10-11
Matt. 24: 7-8
Mark 13: 8
Which refer to the point that will be "the beginning of sorrows".
Take time to read these carefully. I suggest starting a chapter before each so that you are in the proper reference of why Christ told to speak of such things when He did.
