May God watch over us as we look to Him for clarity and unity regarding this great Prophesy that He has left for us. May He guide our thoughts, our words and our conversation and may He grace us by allowing His Holy Spirit to be present with us.
Read Revelations 7: 1-17
Verses 1-3:
The four angels mentioned are given the power to do what?
What natural phenomenon can we expect to occur just before the "harming of the earth"?
What spiritual phenomenon will occur just before the "harming of the earth"?
Since the four mentioned angels will be given power to harm the earth, under Whose authority will this Great Tribulation be commenced? Compare Matthew 24:36 and comment.
Verses 4-8:
Why would the tribes of Isreal need to be sealed and not the Christian Gentiles?
Is there any mention of whether those Israelites to be marked are living, dead or resurrected from the dead?
Verses 9-10: Compare the song in v. 10 to that in Rev. 5:13.
Compare Revelations 3:4, what is the significance of the "white robes" in v.9?
What is the only certain time reference given? (v. 9)
Why does it make sense for God to give attention to the saved of Isreal prior to the saved among the Gentiles?
Is there a certain fixed number of Gentiles to be saved? (Compare also to Rev. 5:9-10)
Verses 11-12: Compare the song of the angels, elders and the four beasts in v.12 to that in 5:12.
Verses 13-17:
Who are these that shall stand before the throne of Christ at this time?
What has been required of these who stand before the throne of Christ?
What promise is given to those who survive the Great Suffering?
There are two mentioned transitions involving the saved. The first is given in v.15 and the second is given in v17. Name them.
