May God watch over us as we look to Him for clarity and unity regarding this great Prophesy that He has left for us. May He guide our thoughts, our words and our conversation and may He grace us by allowing His Holy Spirit to be present with us.

 

Notes:

The letters are written to the seven angels (messengers) of the seven churches to give to the seven churches.

Israel in the wilderness: Ephesus, Smyrna, and Pergamos

Israel in the Promised Land: Thyratira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea

 

Letters to the seven churches: Answer each question for each church after reading Rev. 2.1-3.22.

Churches corresponding to Isreal in the wilderness

The letter to the church at Ephesus (Israel's espousals): (Rev. 2:1-7)

The letter to the church at Smyrna (Israel's testing): (Rev. 2:8-11)

The letter to the church at Pergamos (Israel's failure): (Rev. 2:12-17)

 

Churches corresponding to Isreal in the Promised Land

The letter to the church at Thyratira (The day of Isreal's kings): (Rev. 2:18-29)

The letter to the church at Sardis (Israel's removal): (Rev. 3:1-6)

The letter to the church at Philadelphia (The day of Judah's kings): (Rev. 3:7-13)

The letter to the church at Laodicea (Judah's removal): (Rev. 3:14-22)
