Range: Mutation Duration: Permanent Number: One
Modifier: MS Use: 3 per 24 hours Effect: Mutation Gain
Description: This power gives the mutant the ability to bestow a single random mutation (or defect) upon the target. The mutation is the exact opposite of the Mental Mutation Devolution. The mutant uses the mutation score as the Attack Rank. When the power hits (effectively or not), the target takes 1/4x the Mutation score in mental damage. The target is then sent into a deep coma while the body reworks the physiology accordingly. The coma lasts for 3D6 weeks minus the target's CON in days. A favorable mutation will be bestowed on any colored result whereas a white result means no success. A black result yields a defect. The target must make a CON check vs. the result or better in order to avoid recieving a defective equivalent of the power rolled (ex. instead of wings, the recipient recieves nonfunctional bulky stubs on his shoulder blades). The mutant will himself be drained (and thus helpless) for 1D4 hours, limited to only the most basic movements including talking. If the mutant rolls a blue or better CON result, he or she will only be incapacitated until they get time to catch their breath. The resulting mutation will be rolled randomly from the (1-5) physical or (6) mental mutation tables with a starting score of 2D6 +/- MS mod. as usual.

Briefing: Kaydan is a marvelously frightful entity that appears as if he came from the Underworld itself. With his ruby red skin, long silver hair, bat-like wings and black eyes he has stopped weak opposition only with his looks (and a little help from his Fear Generation). He plays the part well, but in reality he is a whimsical, entertaining host who treats his allies very well. His archenemies are the Knights of Genetic Purity, and he lives to go to the rescue of persecuted mutants. Those unfortunate enough to not possess mutations, or those who desire more powerful ones, come to him for his abilities. He requires loyalty to him in return. He sheepishly regards his powers as "Curses" due to the conditioning that he received at the hands of KGP slave traders when he was very young. The great potential for his unique Mutation gift may not ever be fully appreciated since he is extremely cautious with whom he shares it with. He serves the Iron Society very well and is a model leader concerning all that the Alliance represents.
