Faith Bible Fellowship Church
Thursday night Men’s Bible Study
Beginning in July 1998
Topic of Study: "The End Times: Victor or Victim?"
Teacher: Ron Miller
Time: 7:00 PM
Place: Faith Bible Fellowship Church, Harleysville, PA
Summary:
As Christian men we often look to the Bible for support, instruction and examples of how to live as God’s children. As a church we study the past in order to apply it to how we live today, in order to please God in doing as He has instructed. The goal of this study is to familiarize those interested in what is left, as yet, undone. The study will explore the significance of prophesy and what it has meant to the believers of old so that we can apply such knowledge to what the Lord has left us yet to experience. Below is a loose course outline describing the topics intended in order to meet this goal. Topics are left intentionally broad and no timetable is issued so that this continuing study may become the theme of what the Thursday night group is all about. The study will attempt to dispel any myths about what the Word does say and what it doesn’t say about who, when, where, why and how concerning Satan and his rebellion.
Homework:
Participants will be challenged to keep a ledger of the studies in addition to the consistent reading of the Word in preparation for the weekly meetings. Independent study will be encouraged in order to allow the group to benefit from a myriad of views surrounding what is written in the Bible concerning these topics. It will be suggested that the participants keep watch for significant examples of moral decay and the growing tolerance of the things God warns us against in the world around us. Examples may be brought in from any media source to share with the others in the study.
Outline:
Studies from the Old Testament (God’s prophets)
Studies from the Old Testament (the words of Christ)
